1. Role Overview
Reporting to the Global Head of Provider Invoice Management (PIM), the Head of Centre of Excellence (COE) is a senior leadership role based in India, responsible for managing and continuously developing the COE as the operational backbone of the global Provider Invoice Management (PIM) function. The COE serves as the centralised hub that supports different Business Units (BUs) across the Allianz Partners by providing non-stop operational invoice processing teams for all line of business.
The role requires a dynamic leader who can bridge strategic global intent with day-to-day operational delivery, while simultaneously managing a diverse India-based team and engaging with international stakeholders across Europe, Americas, and Asia-Pacific. The COE Head will drive excellence across four core pillars: Regional Liaison & Support, Stakeholder Management, Ad Hoc & Structured Project Management, and COE Organisation & Resource Development.
2. Key Responsibilities
2.1 Regional Liaison and Support
Act as the primary interface between IN GSD PIM team and all regional PIM teams, ensuring the COE functions as an enabling partner that translates global strategy into continues operational support.
Regional Engagement and SPOC Management: Act as SPOC for all regional PIM managers across Europe, Americas, and APAC, maintaining a quarterly strategic review calendar and monthly touchpoints with a live issue tracker for timely closure.
Global Strategy Translation and Localisation: Convert global PIM directives into actionable COE work plans, adapting deliverables to regional regulatory needs while ensuring full alignment with the overall PIM roadmap.
Cross-Regional Knowledge Sharing and Onboarding: Organise cross-regional forums and onboarding programmes, enabling BUs to adopt the latest operating model, AI capabilities, and process best practices with dedicated COE go-live support.
Performance Monitoring and Escalation Management: Track local GSD performance against global benchmarks, identify support gaps, and manage structured escalation processes with root-cause documentation and regular status reporting to global PIM leadership.
2.2 Stakeholder Management
Build and manage a comprehensive stakeholder engagement framework that positions the COE as a trusted strategic partner to global, regional, and functional stakeholders across Allianz Partners.
Stakeholder Mapping and Communication Planning: Maintain an up-to-date stakeholder register by function and geography, and execute a structured communication plan delivering tailored updates to leadership and operational teams quarterly.
Global PIM Leadership and Cross-Functional Liaison: Provide monthly performance reports and strategic recommendations to global PIM leadership, while coordinating alignment across IT, Finance, HR, Compliance, and Workforce Management teams.
Audit, Compliance, and Provider Relationship Management: Coordinate COE audit contributions, track finding remediation against agreed timelines, and manage high-value provider dispute cases escalated from regional teams with structured resolution reporting.
2.3 Ad Hoc and Structured Project Management
Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and governance of both ad hoc initiatives and structured strategic projects within the PIM scope, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality parameters.
Project Portfolio Governance and Planning: Maintain a live project portfolio with RACI matrices, risk registers, and dependency maps, publishing monthly status updates to global PIM leadership with full stakeholder sign-off before execution.
Ad Hoc Request Management and Prioritisation: Triage and prioritise ad hoc requests from regional BUs using defined criteria for urgency and impact, communicating decisions transparently and maintaining real-time risk-and-issue logs throughout delivery.
Quality Assurance, Lessons Learned, and Continuous Improvement: Enforce peer-review protocols on all outputs, lead post-implementation reviews within four weeks of closure, and maintain a lessons-learned library to drive progressive improvement across projects.
2.4 Management of the COE Organisation
Take full ownership of the operational management of the India-based COE, establishing a high-performance organisational unit that delivers consistently excellent outputs to its global PIM stakeholders.
Operating Model, Governance, and Standards: Define and annually review the COE operating model, governance charter, and performance objectives, conducting internal audits to ensure alignment with global PIM guidelines and Allianz Partners' policies.
Performance Management and Executive Reporting: Track COE performance across throughput, SLA adherence, project delivery, and attrition, delivering quarterly reviews and semi-annual strategic updates to global and regional PIM leadership.
Capacity, Budget, and Digital Maturity: Manage real-time capacity tracking and monthly budget monitoring, while championing adoption of analytics platforms (Power BI, OneBI, Celoni) and AI-assisted PIM tools across the COE team.
Culture, Continuity, and Leadership Presence: Foster an inclusive, accountable COE culture through engagement surveys and recognition programmes, maintain a tested business continuity plan, and represent the COE to global and regional leadership.
2.5 Resource Management and Skill Development
Lead all aspects of COE resource management — from hiring and onboarding to performance management and career development — ensuring the team has the skills, motivation, and capacity to meet operational demands.
Resource Planning and Recruitment: Maintain a rolling 12-month resource plan.
Onboarding, Competency Framework, and Performance Reviews: Implement 30-60-90 day onboarding plans and a competency framework covering PIM skills, analytics, project management, and leadership as the foundation for all performance and promotion decisions.
Learning, Development, and Skill Gap Remediation: Run bi-annual skills audits and a blended L&D programme — covering AI tools, data analytics, and project methodologies — allocating targeted training to close priority capability gaps.
