You will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of SME clients, ensuring their service, retention, and growth, as well as achieving new business targets by managing relationships with brokers and distribution partners across Australia

Main Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a portfolio of SME clients, acting as the central communication point and ensuring their service, retention, and growth.
- Manage relationships with brokers and distribution partners to drive commercial success.
- Manage new business pipeline, including inbound new business leads
- Manage renewal pipeline, including negotiations of terms within the commercial underwriting framework.
- Facilitate portfolio growth by onboarding new business leads and identifying cross- and up-selling opportunities.
- Take personal responsibility for implementing company-wide quality of service standards.
- Apply commercial underwriting standards to ensure the portfolio is profitable and sustainable.
- Ensure compliance with business and regulatory requirements, including Know-Your-Customer, ESG, and other guidelines.
Who You Are
- Successful track record in managing a portfolio of SME clients
- Proven ability to develop and manage broker and partner relationships, generating new business opportunities, and converting them into profitable long-term clients.
- Ability to understand current and prospective clients' businesses and assess underlying commercial risks.
- A problem-solving mindset
- Strong interpersonal and business partnering skills.
- Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and influencing attributes.
- Compliance with Commercial Underwriting objectives, guidelines, and regulatory requirements is crucial.
- Awareness of Artificial Intelligence technologies and are enthusiastic about learning and integrating AI into everyday business processes.
