Actuarial Senior Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyzing, optimizing and creating financial models that form the basis of insurance products
- Providing thorough analyses of complex data
- Technical price calculation for various lines of business using methods such as frequency-severity, GLMs etc.
- Implement, maintain and enhance pricing tools on the Radar platform, contribute to the design of Radar software enhancements
- Work together with pricing and underwriting teams to understand and ensure accurate delivery of their requirements
- Ensure the quality of pricing tool updates including peer reviewing and comprehensive testing
- Collaborate effectively with IT on the integration of the pricing tools within IT landscape
- Provide support on the various modeling initiatives and ensure proper documentation is in place
- Contribute to the process improvement initiatives
Qualification, Experience and Skills
- 3-5 years of relevant actuarial experience into the general insurance domain
- Knowledge of any actuarial platforms like Radar, Emblem, Igloo etc
- Master’s in Actuarial Science/Statistics/Mathematics/B.Tech with good academic background
- Sound knowledge of the general insurance actuarial principles covering pricing, reserving etc
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to interact with customers from different geographical areas
- Good with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint
- Possesses sound knowledge of SQL and can work with databases
- Knowledge of any programming languages such as R/SAS/Python is an advantage
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to details
- Ability to work within a team
