About the role
- Managing a portfolio of claims in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Ensuring a high standard of customer service is maintained with our internal and external customers while building a network of professional relationships
- Managing a high call volume of calls
- Continuous communication with internal and external stakeholders to report on the claim progress, developments, and potential strategic opportunities
- Using your technical experience to thoroughly investigate and assess claims to ensure that appropriate strategies are being implemented and pursued
- Active communication and negotiation with other Insurers and parties, with a view to achieving the best possible outcome for all stakeholders involved
- Follow the AAL Claims Management Process.
- Applying soundly based decision-making to all claims and able to consistently make liability decisions throughout the life of the claim.
- Adherence to Allianz Claims Management Processes, GICOP and all standards to minimise leakage and increased cost of claim
- Build and maintain positive working relationships within the team and with the greater business units
About you
- Minimum of two-years Insurance experience is mandatory.
- Meet specific technical capability and competence standards that are required for professional progression within AAL, including the submission of a portfolio of supporting evidence (For AAL employees only).
- Experience in handling claims management processes and procedures across a variety of general insurance product lines gained in a complex, matrixed general insurance organisation.
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks, manage competing resources, and demands.
- Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights, and evaluate options for decision making.
- Pays high attention to detail by completing tasks with thoroughness and accuracy and has the ability to quickly identify errors or inconsistencies within information.
