About the role
- Lead and collaborate with stakeholders across Claims, Risk, and Compliance to establish, deliver, and continuously improve compliance, quality assurance, and risk management frameworks while uplifting capability maturity.
- Embed proactive risk management by identifying, monitoring, and mitigating risks, managing compliance incidents, issues, and remediation activities, and implementing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory obligations and the Insurance Code of Practice, including implementing regulatory changes and monitoring compliance across operations.
- Oversee quality assurance and risk controls by analysing QA outcomes, identifying risks and improvement opportunities, tracking actions, and supporting the development and maintenance of operational risk registers.
About you
- Extensive experience across financial services and broader corporate environments, with experience in an insurance environment considered a plus.
- Proven leadership capability, including leading teams, driving change initiatives, and delivering quality assurance and monitoring functions.
- Excellent stakeholder management, building effective stakeholder relationships and partnerships, and navigating complex and conflicting views across internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced communication, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to present confidently to senior leadership and apply strong commercial and business acumen.
- Sound knowledge of risk and compliance across Line 1 and Line 2 functions, with good regulatory awareness and experience within governance and compliance frameworks.
