Total Loss Officer – Insurance- Adelaide

About the role

  • Case manage total loss claims end to end, including procurement of replacement vehicles, settling member and third party total loss claims and sale of salvage.
  • Processing claims within RAA Insurance Claims within established guidelines, efficiently and professionally in order to achieve the fair and equitable settlement of claims whilst providing and exceptional level of member service.
  • Provide compassionate, professional support to members and stakeholders, focusing on understanding their needs and creating a smooth claims experience.
  • Stay organised and meet agreed timeframes and performance goals while being open to coaching and learning opportunities.
  • Maintain accuracy and compliance by following procedures, legislation, and industry codes, and by keeping detailed, high-quality records.
  • Contribute to a safe, supportive workplace by following risk and safety procedures and helping identify opportunities for improvement.

 

About you

  • Demonstrates the ability to deliver excellent customer outcomes over the phone or face-to-face roles, keeping a customer-first mindset and thriving in collaborative teams. Experience in motor claims, total loss, settlements, and recoveries is highly desirable.
  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills, able to resolve conflicts and negotiate effectively.
  • Ability to use objective and factual information and exercise judgement to make sound decisions.
  • Highly organised, tech-savvy, and detail-oriented, with strong time management, accuracy in data entry, and a proactive, independent work style.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation to ensure fair and accurate claim outcomes for members.
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a fast -changing digital world
