Job Summary
The Hospital Invoices Specialist supports health claims operations by reviewing, validating, and processing hospital invoices related to insured members’ hospitalization cases. The role ensures correct application of contracted price lists, benefits, approvals, and reimbursement rules, contributing to accurate provider payments and efficient claims handling.
Key responsibilities
- Review and validate hospital invoices related to hospitalization cases.
- Ensure alignment with contracted price lists, coverage rules, and approved services.
- Verify coding, quantities, dates, and supporting medical documentation.
- Identify discrepancies or overcharges and follow up with providers.
- Apply reimbursement rules, policy limits, and cost‑sharing accurately.
- Ensure invoiced services match pre‑authorizations and approvals.
- Liaise with hospitals, clinics, claims teams, provider relations, and finance.
- Maintain complete, accurate documentation and system records.
- Support quality, audit, and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to process improvements, system updates, and trainings.
Requirements
- University degree in Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in health claims, medical billing, or provider invoice validation.
- Understanding of hospitalization workflows, medical pricing, and reimbursement rules.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
- Fluency in Greek and good command of English.
- Proficiency in MS Office and claims/invoice management systems.
- Experience in a TPA environment or with Greek private hospital pricing is an advantage.
- Strong team player, high professional integrity, ability to perform effectively under pressure
- AI Familiarity (Gen AI, MS CoPilot etc) and data analysis oriented
