Job Description: The Senior Strategic Buyer will play a crucial role in managing the procurement of goods and services, working closely with internal teams to identify needs, and ensuring the company’s supply chain is efficient and cost-effective. This role involves strategic sourcing, category management, value and performance management, policy management, governance & compliance, outsourcing, strategic planning and forecasting, and process excellence and efficiency. Additionally, the role coordinates Real Estate & Facility Management and Protection & Resilience activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation
- Global Category Management
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Contract Management
- Demand Management
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, manage provider panel, and optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Risk Management
Ensure all risk assessments are performed.
Work closely with internal departments to ensure compliance with company standards and policies.
- Reporting & Analytics
Regularly perform spend analysis and inform Allianz Partners Regional and Global Procurement
- Real Estate & Facility Management
Manage facility access and security.
- Protection & Resilience Management
Coordinate incident and crisis management, including security and emergency response management.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
+8 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.
Experience in managing a team and/or in a leadership role.
Proven experience in project management with delivery responsibility.
Strong ability to use data and insights to identify and drive opportunities.
Familiarity with Ariba as a procurement tool.
Strong interpersonal skills, able to foster relationships with peers and other functions; ability to motivate and influence key project stakeholders and drive change.
Fluency in English and Greek is mandatory.
