We are looking for a Student Intern for our Master Builder’s Risk Underwriting line of business (a division of our Construction Underwriting team), working a hybrid scheduled based in the Alpharetta, Georgia office.

The Construction Property team of Allianz Commercial offers a breadth of new and enhanced coverages. We offer real estate developers, contractor’s, subcontractors, architects, and property owners’ coverage for buildings that are under construction, renovation, or repair, including: builders risk, contractor’s equipment, installation floaters, riggers liability, and related property.
The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the Executive Underwriter Team Lead – Master Builders Risk, the Intern will Assist Allianz Construction Team in the handling and continued development of Master Builders Risk business, including learning large contractors, large owner/developers and other programs, underwriting, marketing, claims and other components of business development.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
- Report development, template development, policy review and analysis, submission analysis, implementation of AI and other tools, marketing and development of a growing national and international book of business.
- Pulling data from various sources and enter into excel; run reports, in order to analyze the department book's performance and monitor progress.
- Scan and save file documentation retrieved from boxes into appropriate accounts.
- Create presentations for the department which details the features, advantages and benefits of new products.
- Development of complex Microsoft Word and Excel documents to be used as department templates.
- Assist with admin tasks as required.
What You’ll Bring to the Role –
- Currently pursuing university or college degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance or related discipline
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Basic office related work experience
- Knowledge of basic computer operations including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft office applications
- Ability to apply field of study learnings to the internship
- Knowledge of basic math skills – strong aptitude for numbers
- Self-starter with the ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Strong oral and written communication skills
- The ability to utilize AI tools to support day-today tasks, improve efficiency, and contribute to data-driven decision-making is valuable. A willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role, and the broader organization is expected.

The company offers a pay rate of $27 per hour for this internship. This is a Full time 10-week Summer Internship which will begin in early July 2027.
