Role Overview

Reporting to the Sales Leadership team, the Field Specialist is responsible for developing and managing business relationships with key partners within an assigned territory. This role combines business development, account management, and sales strategy to achieve sales targets for insurance products while ensuring strong, long-term partnerships. The role involves developing the existing portfolio, providing training and support to distributors and might involve acquiring new clients.

Key responsibilities include planning and executing client visits, monitoring sales performance, and representing the company at events, workshops, and training events. The District Manager serves as the primary point of contact for partners, addressing their needs, resolving issues, and driving profitable growth across the territory.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact; provide ongoing support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly; and communicate regularly with clients to share updates on products, services, and company developments.
  • Drive Commercial Performance: Develop and execute weekly visit schedules to engage with clients effectively, develop the existing portfolio, and identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional products or services.
  • Account Planning and Strategy: Develop strategic account plans to achieve sales and retention targets; monitor, analyze, and report sales performance and profitability metrics to inform account strategies; and prepare and lead regular performance reviews with clients and stakeholders.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to distributors to enhance their knowledge and performance, and represent the company at events, workshops, and training events within the assigned territory.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure a cohesive approach to account management; provide feedback from clients to inform product development and service improvements; manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective execution of commercial activities; contribute to cross-functional and overarching projects supporting business priorities; and ensure consistent and accurate maintenance of client and sales data in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve client conflicts or issues in a timely and effective manner, and conduct research and analysis, including client data and trend analysis, to support decision-making.
  • Participate in regional and global segment communities to exchange best practices, share partner insights, and contribute to the development of market-relevant solutions and growth opportunities.
  • Work effectively with AI, machine learning, data analytics, and cloud-based tools, adhering to high standards of data governance, security, and ethical use.

 

Profile and Experience

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of relevant experience in sales, account management, or a related field, preferably in the tourism or insurance sector. The candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.


Key Requirements:

The Field Specialist will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in economics, business, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of sales techniques and negotiation skills.
  • Digital and data-driven mindset, with the ability and curiosity to leverage data, insights, and emerging technologies (including AI tools) to support decision-making and commercial performance.
  • Results-oriented, proactive, and self-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage activities independently, with flexibility and willingness to travel as required.
  • Problem-solving abilities combined with adaptability in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Versatile profile, open to stepping beyond defined responsibilities and contributing across different topics and projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, with openness to adopting new technologies and ways of working.
