Job Overview:

The Protection & Resilience (P&R) and Occupational Health and Safety Officer is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously enhancing the entity’s resilience and health and safety frameworks to ensure compliance, preparedness, response, and recovery from disruptive events and incidents.

This role also combines outsourcing governance and third-party risk management into one integrated function, ensuring that local third-party arrangements are identified, assessed, classified, approved, documented, monitored, and reviewed in a consistent, risk-based, and proportionate manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Continuity Management

  • Assessing all work/related hazards and risks related to safety, health and mental health. This requires baseline risk assessment, as well as job specific assessments, contractor management and psycho-social risk assessments and analysis .

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as central coordination point between:
  • Global Office
  • Business Owners
  • Risk & Compliance
  • IT / ISOs
  • HR, Facilities, Security
  • Third-party providers

Crisis Management

  • Maintain and enhance the Crisis Management framework

Emergency Response Management

  • Define and maintain emergency response procedures (life safety, evacuation, site incidents

Global Incident Management

  • Act as focal point for incident identification, escalation, and coordination

Protective Security Management

  • Coordinate implementation of protective security measures

Third Party Risk Management and Outsourcing

  • Steer and monitor outsourcing and Third Party Risk Management activities across the Business Unit

Occupational Health and Safety

Deliverables

  • Audit-ready documentation 
  • Continuous improvement plans and KPI tracking
  • Schedule OHS trainings for new employees as well as periodical trainings.
  • Maintain and update all H&S books and documentation, and make sure are all signed by all parties.
  • Provide first response and coordination in case of incidents or urgent compliance needs.

 

Requirements:

Protection & Resilience:

  • Degree in Risk, Internal control, Operations, Security, Business operations, Health & Safety, Security, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in above area
  • Strong knowledge of operational resilience and workplace safety practices

 

Certifications (nice to have):

  • BCM / Resilience (e.g. ISO 22301, CBCI)
  • OHS (e.g. NEBOSH or equivalent)

 

OHS:

  • OHS certification via a local provider is required. Additional training via an international accreditation body (IOSH / NEBOSH Diploma or IGC) is preferable.
  • To have experience in leading the implementation of OHS management systems
