POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Global Benefits Expert is responsible for designing, benchmarking, and managing Allianz's Benefits, including but not only, Health Insurance and Life Insurance benefit programmes on a global scale, with particular focus on emerging and high-growth markets. Acting as a subject matter expert within the Rewards and Benefits function, this role ensures that benefit offerings remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with Allianz's people strategy and business objectives. The position requires deep familiarity with market intelligence methodologies from leading consultancies and a strong capacity to translate benefit data into actionable business recommendations 

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Global Benefits Expert sits within the HR function (CP) and reports directly to the Head of Rewards and Benefits. The role operates at a global level, supporting operating entities and Talent Advisors across multiple geographies in the design, benchmarking, governance, and continuous improvement of employee benefit programmes. The position combines deep technical expertise in health and life insurance structures with strong commercial acumen, enabling the role holder to act as a credible advisor to senior HR and business stakeholders. The individual will manage relationships with key external partners including Mercer, WTW, and Aon, leveraging their platforms and survey data to maintain Allianz's competitive positioning in the benefits landscape. 

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Designs, reviews, and continuously improves global Health Insurance and Life Insurance benefit programmes, ensuring
alignment with Allianz's total rewards philosophy and local regulatory requirements across all operating entities.
• Leads the cyclical benefits benchmarking in partnership with external consultancies including Mercer, WTW, and Aon;
interprets survey outputs, prepares executive-level insights, and translates findings into concrete recommendations for
programme enhancements.
• Acts as the primary subject matter expert on employee benefits for the global HR community, providing guidance to HR
Business Partners and local HR teams on benefit design, plan administration, vendor governance, and compliance
matters.
• Manages relationships with global and regional benefit brokers and insurers, overseeing plan renewals, cost
negotiations, and performance reviews to ensure quality of service delivery and cost-effective benefit solutions.
• Develops and maintains a global benefits inventory, tracking plan structures, coverage levels, cost data, and participation
rates across all markets to support strategic decision-making and governance reporting.
• Drives benefit-related projects and transformation initiatives including harmonisation of benefit frameworks, introduction
of flexible benefit models, and implementation of digital benefit administration platforms.
• Collaborates closely with Finance and the broader Rewards function to ensure benefit programme costs are
appropriately budgeted, monitored, and reported; contributes to annual planning and forecasting cycles.
• Ensures compliance of all benefit programmes with applicable local legislation, tax regulations, and Allianz Group
governance standards; proactively identifies regulatory changes and assesses their impact on existing benefit structures

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in employee benefits, total rewards, or a related HR discipline, with a
significant portion of that experience in a global or multi-country environment.
• Proven hands-on experience working with or within leading benefits consultancies such as Mercer, WTW, or Aon, either
as an employee or as a client managing these relationships at a senior level.
• Demonstrated expertise in the design, governance, and administration of Health Insurance and Life Insurance plans
across multiple jurisdictions, including India and other Asia Pacific markets.
• Strong benefits benchmarking capability, including the ability to commission, interpret, and present findings from market
surveys to senior stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of benefit-related regulatory and tax frameworks, particularly within India, with broader awareness of
international benefits governance requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or
relevant professional certification is advantageous.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior experience in a global set-up, insurance services, or technology-driven multinational environment.
• Familiarity with flexible benefit platforms and digital benefits administration tools.
• Exposure to benefits harmonisation programmes or post-merger integration projects involving benefit plan consolidation.
• Knowledge of Allianz Group's HR framework, grading methodology, or total rewards philosophy is an advantage

Project Management: Plans and executes benefit-related projects with rigour, managing timelines, dependencies, and
cross-functional workstreams to deliver results within agreed parameters.
Communication and Influence: Presents findings and recommendations to senior audiences with clarity and confidence;
adapts communication style to different stakeholder groups including HR Business Partners, Finance, and the Executive
team.
Compliance Mindset: Maintains a proactive approach to regulatory awareness and governance, ensuring all benefit
programmes operate within the boundaries of applicable law and Allianz Group standards.
