Role overview


We are looking for a Business Analyst - Business Master Platform (m/f/d) for our modern and innovative location: Allianz Services, Barcelona. The Business Analyst (BA) acts as a key delivery role within the Business Master Platform (BMP) program, supporting global and local rollout initiatives across Allianz entities. The role is responsible for translating business needs into clear, structured, and traceable requirements that enable efficient and high‑quality delivery within agile squads.

 

What you do:

  • Gather, analyse, document, and validate business requirements for BMP initiatives.
  • Translate business processes into AS‑IS / TO‑BE models, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria aligned with Allianz standards.
  • Support Product Owners in backlog refinement, prioritization, and sprint readiness.
  • Facilitate requirement workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder alignment meetings.
  • Ensure end‑to‑end traceability of requirements across design, development, testing, and release.
  • Collaborate with development, testing, and architecture teams to clarify requirements and ensure shared understanding.
  • Contribute to system and user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios and supporting validation activities.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve business processes.
  • Support continuous improvement of BA practices, templates, and standards across Operations Engineering & Transformation.


What you bring:

  • 3–6 years of experience in Business Analysis roles in IT, operations, or insurance environments.
  • Practical experience in requirements engineering: user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, and traceability.
  • Good understanding of core insurance domains (Underwriting, Claims, Pricing, Payments) or strong motivation to learn.
  • Experience with insurance platforms (e.g., BMP, APL, ABS, Guidewire) or interest in developing knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to model business processes clearly.
  • Solid communication and stakeholder‑management skills in cross‑functional and global setups.
  • Interest or affinity for technology and Generative AI is considered a plus.
  • Strong BA fundamentals: elicitation, documentation, validation, and process modelling.
  • Experience working in agile environments (Scrum or SAFe).
  • Ability to collaborate across business, operations, and IT teams.
  • A quality‑driven mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
  • Proactiveness, ownership, and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
