About the Job
As a Commercial Service Manager within the AI Platform Tribe at Allianz Technology, you will be responsible for the commercial health, client relationships, and operational performance of AI platform services — spanning squads such as AllianzGPT, Agentic Solution Hub, and Databricks-based ML and GenAI offerings. You will act as the primary commercial interface between the tribe and its internal Allianz customers, ensuring that service agreements are well-governed, financially sound, and consistently delivering value.
Combining strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of service operations, you will oversee budgets, P&L, and forecasting while actively identifying opportunities to grow the service footprint across Allianz Operating Entities. You will work across squads, chapters, finance, and procurement to ensure that every commercial aspect of service delivery — from contract negotiation to KPI reporting — is managed with precision and in line with Allianz Technology’s standards and strategic goals.
What you do
- Service Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day commercial service operations, including scheduling, capacity planning, work order management, and service request coordination across assigned squads, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Financial Planning and Reporting: Lead annual and rolling planning exercises for the service portfolio within Allianz Technology’s financial management systems, prepare and manage budgets, rolling forecasts, and P&L, and report on performance, financial results, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain trust-based relationships with internal Allianz clients and Operating Entities, acting as the primary escalation point for commercial and service-related matters, and conducting regular service reviews with transparent reporting and improvement recommendations.
- Revenue Growth and Business Development: Drive revenue growth and service expansion through contract renewals, upselling of AI platform services, and identification of new business opportunities aligned with the AI tribe’s evolving platform roadmap.
- Contract and Compliance Management: Review, negotiate, and manage service agreements and contracts, ensuring competitive and compliant commercial terms, while maintaining awareness of governance and compliance obligations relevant to AI platform services.
- Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (e.g., response times, first-time fix rates, customer satisfaction scores, and service margins) and implement targeted improvement plans to enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and procurement teams to ensure end-to-end service delivery, while ensuring all activities comply with Allianz safety regulations, company standards, and industry requirements.
What you bring
- Proven experience in commercial service management or a comparable client-facing, P&L-responsible role, ideally within an IT services or technology environment; Strong leadership and people management abilities, with a track record of developing high-performing, cross-functional service teams.
- Demonstrated P&L responsibility and budget management experience, with familiarity with financial planning and controlling processes in large enterprises; experience in the Allianz Technology environment is a strong advantage.
- Strong commercial acumen: able to identify, develop, and close revenue opportunities through contract renewals, upselling, and new business development.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across diverse business and IT functions.
- Analytical mindset with hands-on experience using ServiceNow for service management, reporting, and performance tracking.
- Experience negotiating and managing service agreements and vendor contracts in complex, multi-stakeholder settings.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Familiarity with AI platform services, cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure), or GenAI offerings is an advantage.
