Finance Intern (m/f/d)

About the Job

As Finance Intern, you will support the steering and reporting of financial indicators and their key drivers for projects and services. Working closely with our Finance community and stakeholders in the IT Functions, you will also assist in coordinating improvement measures and contribute to the implementation of Controlling processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Controlling, learn best practices, and develop analytical skills in a dynamic environment.

What you do

• Prepare comprehensive financial datasets and reports to support business decision-making.
• Analyze variances by comparing actual results with forecasts, identifying performance gaps, and recommending improvements.
• Assist Function Controllers in preparing business reviews and performance analyses.
• Oversee service provider contracts and monitor actual spending versus Purchase Order values.
• Develop and deliver presentations for the management team.
• Contribute to the establishment and continuous improvement of guidelines, methods, and processes related to controlling activities.
• Document and track project status to ensure transparency and alignment.

What you bring

• Degree in Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or Business IT.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail and solid business acumen.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power BI mandatory); basic SAP knowledge is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work setting.
• Self-motivated, highly committed, and capable of working under tight deadlines.
• Comfortable working in an English-speaking environment.
• Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles and their practical use.
