About the job

The Head of AI Transformation will assume overarching responsibility for the “AI 4 Business program” within Allianz Technology. AI 4 Business is a top-priority strategic initiative within Allianz Technology with full sponsorship from the Executive Management Team (EMT). This strategic role is accountable for providing the necessary capabilities in AI, Generative AI (GenAI), and Agentic AI to empower Allianz Operating Entities (OEs) to unlock the vast potential of these technologies. The role involves developing a harmonized framework for building, deploying, supervising and tracking value of AI solutions. Moreover, it requires establishing a robust operating model between various teams inside Allianz Technology and the OEs and prioritizing delivery across diverse teams, while representing Allianz Technology’s expertise to the broader Allianz Group.

 

What you do

 
  • Program Leadership: Lead the AI 4 Business program, driving the adoption and integration of AI, GenAI, and Agentic AI capabilities across Allianz Technology and OEs.
  • Framework & Governance: Develop and implement a comprehensive framework to coordinate, harmonize, and govern AI solutions, ensuring alignment with Allianz’s strategic objectives and ethical standards.
  • Operating Model: Establish and maintain a robust operating model that enables seamless collaboration between various teams in Allianz Technology (AzT) and OEs, fostering innovation and operational excellence.
  • Prioritization & Delivery: Oversee and prioritize delivery items for DAP (Data, Analytics & Platforms) teams, ensuring timely and impactful outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build executive trust, align goals and KPIs, and navigate complex organizational structures to secure decisions and drive transformation.
  • Capability Building: Champion AI upskilling and knowledge-sharing initiatives, ensuring teams are equipped with the latest AI skills and tools.
  • Representation & Advocacy: Represent AzT’s AI expertise and achievements to the broader Allianz Group, positioning the organization as a leader in AI-driven transformation.
  • Innovation, Best Practices Risk & compliance: Identify, evaluate, and implement emerging AI technologies, ensuring Allianz remains at the forefront of AI innovation and responsible deployment and ensure all AI initiatives adhere to Allianz’s governance, data privacy, and ethical standards.

 

What you bring

  • Proven experience in AI transformation and technology leadership within large organizations, with strong commercial acumen and a track record of driving AI upskilling and enhancing business models
  • Deep expertise in AI, GenAI, and Agentic AI technologies, with a strong understanding of their business applications and risks.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement frameworks, operating models, and governance structures for AI at scale.
  • Strong program and project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional and international teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills at executive level.
  • Experience in prioritizing and delivering complex technology programs, ideally in a data-driven or regulated environment.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
