About the Job

Responsible for orchestrating the successful execution of the entire Allianz OEs Iberolatam strategic IT portfolio. As the Head of the Transformation Office, you will be the driving force behind our most critical change initiatives, ensuring that strategic projects deliver their intended business value on time and on budget in close collaboration with the Head of Engineering and IT delivery and the Head of Architecture.

In this key transformation moment for the organization, you will work directly with senior leadership to harmonize project governance, optimize our IT landscape, and steer the ambitious evolution of our technological capabilities. Thus, bringing Business and IT closer as one Allianz operating globally and fully integrated locally.

   

What you do

  • Manage the comprehensive IT project portfolio in close collaboration with Allianz OEs Iberolatam, ensuring absolute alignment with strategic business objectives. You will provide transparent and data-driven oversight of the global project portfolio. The role will also ensure alignment with Allianz Technology's global strategic objectives via leveraging global best practices and resources to enhance local project execution and delivery.
  • Personally endorse, lead and ensure the successful execution of high-stakes, transversal strategic projects such as NextGen, BMP, SOM, and Cloudification, delivering significant value to Allianz OEs Iberolatam.
  • Develop and implement sophisticated decommissioning strategies (Bebauungsplan) to modernize the IT landscape, reduce legacy system dependencies, and optimize Total Cost of Ownership. You will oversee the operational finance (FinOps/Cost Office) to ensure rigorous cost management and resource allocation on a day to day basis and support the yearly Planning Dialog exercises.
  • Establish and implement robust project steering standards across Allianz OEs Iberolatam, aligning with group best practices. You will ensure rigorous governance is applied to all initiatives, monitoring progress and proactively mitigating risks.
  • Successful on-time, on-budget delivery of 100% of the strategic project portfolio (NextGen, BMP, SOM, Cloudification).
  • Achieve a significant, measurable reduction in IT landscape. Full adoption and measured adherence to the new Project Steering Standards across all projects within the first year.
  • Demonstrate positive ROI and value realization for all completed strategic initiatives. High satisfaction rating from key Allianz OEs Iberolatam stakeholders regarding portfolio transparency and project execution.

 

What you bring

  • 15+ years of experience in IT transformation, corporate strategy, or large-scale program management, with a proven track record in executive leadership roles. A master's degree or equivalent is required.
  • Deep expertise in IT portfolio management and strategic planning, with the ability to translate complex business goals into actionable, technology-driven initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience with IT finance, including FinOps, budgeting for large portfolios, executing cost optimization and application rationalization strategies.
  • Charismatic change agent with exceptional decision-making skills and the ability to drive complex initiatives forward in a complex environment.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of building strong relationships and ensuring alignment with stakeholders at the most senior levels of the organization.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies and GenAI platforms is a strong advantage.
