At Allianz Retail Global Services, we are building innovative digital solutions that shape the future of commercial insurance. We are currently looking for a motivated IT Product Owner to join our Fleets domain, where you will play a key role in developing global fleet management solutions used by our retail and commercial insurance customers.

 

In this role, you will work at the intersection of business and technology, helping transform complex fleet and insurance requirements into scalable, high-quality IT solutions. You will collaborate closely with international stakeholders, architects, and development teams to ensure our fleet platform remains competitive, customer-focused, and future-ready.


What you do

  • Support the Product Manager in defining, prioritizing, and refining the product backlog for fleet-related features, with a strong focus on IT and value creation.
  • Contribute to shaping and maintaining a clear product vision and roadmap for fleet management solutions across multiple modules and functionalities.
  • Act as a key link between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring shared understanding and smooth collaboration.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications, taking technical constraints and designs into account.
  • Work closely with architects and technical experts to design solutions for fleet-specific data models and integrations with third-party systems.
  • Actively participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and delivery follow-ups, helping remove impediments and ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate dependencies across different teams and domains to enable seamless end-to-end fleet customer journeys.
  • Take ownership of end-to-end solution delivery, ensuring quality standards, release readiness, and compliance with defined processes.
  • Continuously look for improvement opportunities and stay up to date on fleet, insurance, telematics, and emerging technology trends.

 

What you bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (a Master’s degree is a plus).
  • 3–5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Functional Architect, Business Analyst, or in a similar IT-focused role.
  • Experience or strong interest in insurance, fleet management, automotive, or commercial lines environments—especially in underwriting or risk assessment processes.
  • Solid knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum or SAFe.
  • Highly valued: exposure to AI-related use cases in insurance, including predictive analytics, risk modeling, automated underwriting, or intelligent document processing.
  • A good understanding of IT architectures, including backend and frontend components, APIs, data flows, and system integrations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across countries and cultures.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages such as Spanish or German are a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
