About the Job
Allianz Technology is seeking a highly knowledgeable Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Identity Access Management (IAM) with a strong focus on governance to join the IAM Governance & Business Operations team. This role is pivotal in operationalizing the IAM Target Operating Model (IAM TOM) and ensuring governance excellence in IAM processes globally. As Allianz Technology continues its transformation, the SME will be responsible for architecting and optimizing IAM governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with IAM standards, and driving adoption across diverse technological landscapes.
What you do
- Architect and implement IAM governance frameworks and controls across Allianz Technology, spanning multiple regions, hubs, and locations, while developing governance policies and monitoring systems for compliance with IAM standards.
- Conduct governance-focused risk assessments, perform security audits, and contribute to external audits, ensuring IAM systems integrity and access control mechanisms.
- Oversee enforcement of IAM governance policies and IAM TOM processes globally, leading design and continuous improvement of IAM strategies for scalability and robustness across over 20 locations.
- Align IAM governance strategies with IAM TOM and organizational goals, focusing on identity federation, SSO, RBAC, and driving strategic improvements using automation, advanced analytics, and identity governance frameworks.
- Develop governance KPIs, metrics, and SLAs to support decision-making services, focusing on IAM performance and compliance, while driving controls for MFA and PAM governance implementation.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams and the Head of IAM Governance & Business Operations on strategic IAM initiatives, ensuring integration with enterprise applications, cloud services, and seamless adoption of governance changes.
- Support team stabilization and maturity by providing governance-focused coaching and guidance to junior team members, assisting with governance aspects of audits, incident response, and IAM system upgrades.
What you bring
- Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, with extensive knowledge of IAM governance concepts, including identity lifecycle management, access management, authentication protocols and directory services.
- Strong governance-focused design thinking, problem-solving and conceptualization skills, with excellent communication and presentation abilities to interact with senior technical stakeholders.
- 5+ years of experience in IAM operations and governance process management, with a proven track record of managing global IAM governance processes and leading process improvements in a complex, global technical environment.
- Experienced in OPEX, Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, focusing on governance process optimization and managing change initiatives. Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles and their practical use.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical teams, manage governance stakeholders, and facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across global teams.
- Experienced in managing IAM tools and applications, including identity management platforms like SailPoint, Okta and Ping Identity, with knowledge of regional regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Skilled in managing governance vendors and third-party providers, leading governance teams in projects and aligning cross-functional governance teams.
- Familiarity with Allianz's governance operational structure or experience in governance consulting is a plus.
