About the Job:

 

As a Lead Architect for Finance Transformation, you will define and govern AI-enabled target architectures that modernize finance capabilities across Allianz Technology. You will shape end-to-end solutions that combine data, analytics, automation, and responsible AI to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant finance processes. Partnering closely with the Program Manager, Project Managers, and Workstream Leads on the “New Horizon 2030” initiative, you will ensure architectural integrity, accelerate value delivery, and embed responsible AI by design.

 

What You Do:

 

  • Lead the AI-enabled finance target architecture and roadmap (applications, data, integration, security, and cloud), ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and program objectives.
  • Design solution patterns for AI/ML use cases in Finance (e.g., predictive forecasting, anomaly detection, cash and close optimization, NLP for reconciliations) and guide teams from ideation through industrialization.
  • Define data and analytics architecture (data pipelines, quality, metadata/lineage, privacy, role-based access), integrating ERP/SaaS platforms with data lakes/warehouses and analytical services.
  • Establish and govern ML/AI lifecycle practices (MLOps, model monitoring, model risk management), embedding responsible AI, privacy, and security controls.
  • Evaluate and guide adoption of cloud and data platform services, automation, and GenAI capabilities; run PoCs and scale what works.
  • Translate business objectives into solution designs and non-functional requirements (resilience, performance, cost efficiency), partnering with the Program Manager, Project Managers, and Workstream Leads.
  • Review solution designs, provide architectural guardrails, and support transition to run, ensuring operability and continuous improvement.

 

What You Bring:

 

  • Extensive experience in IT architecture (enterprise/solution) leading large-scale transformation, with proven delivery in data/analytics and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Degree in IT or a related field; previous experience with IT architecture is a must.
  • Deep understanding of finance domain processes and platforms (e.g., GL, AP/AR, FP&A; ERP/SaaS integration) and how to apply data/AI responsibly within Finance.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud and data platforms (e.g., Azure/AWS/GCP), data architecture, integration patterns, and security-by-design principles.
  • Track record establishing MLOps/model governance and aligning with regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder leadership and communication skills; experience working in international and Agile environments.
  • Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use.
