Finance Operations is an umbrella term that refers to all of finance related activities and is responsible for making sure that they are properly integrated to support the overall health and performance of the business. The team is responsible for the global finance end-to-end processes, Finance Ticket Center, Finance Academy, Finance Innovation Management and Finance Data Office.

We are looking for an experienced Master Data Expert for the “Finance Data Office” function.

What you do

As a Master Data Expert on our global Finance Operations team, you will partner with all finance teams and IT stakeholders. With process ownership and quality assurance responsibilities you play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, consistency, and reliability of an organization's core data assets. This role bridges the gap between data management, business processes, and quality control. This requires a blend of finance expertise, data management skills, and stakeholder engagement capabilities to ensure the integrity and quality of financial data across the organization.

 

Tasks

  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal standards.
  • Define, document, and continuously improve end-to-end master data processes.
  • Act as the central point of contact for process-related issues and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data processes with business needs.
  • Develop and implement data quality standards, metrics, and controls.
  • Monitor data quality through regular audits and reports.
  • Identify root causes of data issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Work closely with IT, business units, and data stewards to ensure data governance policies are followed.
  • Provide training and support to ensure consistent data handling practices across the organization.
  • Analyze data-related KPIs to identify opportunities for process optimization.
  • Lead or support projects aimed at enhancing data quality and operational efficiency.

 

What you do

  • Higher education degree in finance, business administration, economics or equivalent work experience
  • Deep understanding of master data domains (e.g., customer, vendor, material, product, finance).
  • Proficiency in SAP is a critical requirement for this role.
  • Knowledge of data lifecycle management and data governance frameworks.
  • Principles of data quality (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, uniqueness).
  • Ability to map, analyze, and optimize business processes related to data creation and maintenance.
  • Understanding of system integration and data flow between applications.
  • Ability to analyze data quality metrics and identify root causes of issues.
  • Strong critical thinking and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Skills in stakeholder communication and training.
  • Knowledge of process modeling tools (Adonis) would be helpful
  • German and English at a business fluent level
