About the Job

Based in Barcelona and part of Allianz Technology SL, you will own the governance and continuous improvement of our project portfolio to ensure strategic alignment, value realization, and transparency. Acting as the portfolio’s day-to-day owner, you will operate proactively and independently to maintain portfolio processes, coordinate demand intake, support prioritization, manage dependencies and risks, and provide clear reporting that enables effective investment and delivery decisions.

You will collaborate closely with project managers, product owners, finance, security, and operations to ensure an integrated view of the portfolio across scope, schedule, capacity, and financials. This role is ideal for a motivated, early-career professional with 2 years of experience who thrives on taking ownership, driving outcomes, and working with minimal supervision.

What you do

  • Operate the end-to-end project portfolio lifecycle, including intake, prioritization, planning, execution tracking, and sunsetting of initiatives.
  • Maintain the portfolio inventory and roadmap, ensuring accurate metadata (scope, KPIs, risks, dependencies, milestones, financials) and audit-ready documentation.
  • Prepare and facilitate governance forums (agenda, materials, minutes, actions), ensuring timely follow-up on decisions, risks, and dependencies.
  • Track portfolio performance through KPIs and dashboards; highlight trends and recommend corrective actions to leadership.
  • Coordinate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, cost transparency, and benefits realization tracking.
  • Drive cross-team alignment (Technology, Security, People & Culture, Procurement, Operations) to resolve blockers and optimize delivery flow.
  • Improve portfolio practices and tooling (e.g., PPM tools, Jira, ServiceNow, Power BI/Tableau), standardizing processes and templates.
  • Support decommissioning and rationalization to focus investment on the highest-value initiatives.

What You Bring

  • 3 years of experience in project portfolio management, PMO, or a related delivery governance role within technology.
  • A proactive, self-starter mindset with strong ownership; able to work independently and “run with the role” with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of PPM and ITSM frameworks (e.g., Agile/SAFe, ITIL) and experience with tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, or PPM suites.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills; proficiency with Excel and at least one visualization tool (Power BI or Tableau).
  • Stakeholder management and clear communication skills across business, technology, and leadership levels; experience facilitating governance forums.
  • Basic financial acumen (budget tracking, cost/benefit, benefits realization) and fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use.

What we offer

  • We offer a hybrid work model which recognizes the value of striking a balance between in-person collaboration and remote working incl. up to 25 days per year working from abroad.
  • We believe in rewarding performance and our compensation and benefits package includes a company bonus scheme, pension, employee shares program and multiple employee discounts (details vary by location).
  • From career development and digital learning programs to international career mobility, we offer lifelong learning for our employees worldwide and an environment where innovation, delivery and empowerment are fostered.
  • Flexible working, health and wellbeing offers (including healthcare and parental leave benefits) support to balance family and career and help our people return from career breaks with experience that nothing else can teach.
