About the Job

The Segment Closing & Reporting team is a part of Allianz Technology's SE Accounting, Tax & Treasury function and is the central hub for IFRS group reporting to Allianz SE, management reporting, and HGB financial reporting across the segment.

As a Senior Accounting Expert, you will own complex accounting matters, ensure compliance with accounting standards, drive cross-functional projects, and safeguard the reliability and quality of segment-level financial reporting. You bring deep technical accounting expertise, strong analytical skills, and a continuous-improvement mindset—leveraging data and technology to optimize processes. You will also serve as the primary coverage lead for local accounting teams.

What You Do

• Participate in the preparation of the Allianz Technology segment's reporting package under for Allianz SE, including process design and execution, analysis, and disclosure activities.
• Handle complex accounting topics (e.g., IFRS 15, IAS 19, IAS 36, IAS, 37, IAS 38), collaborate closely with Group Accounting, HR, and controlling teams and support the implementation of new or amended IFRS standards
• Collaborate closely with local finance functions across multiple countries, advising on IFRS and process topics and ensuring consistent application of Group accounting policies; act as the central point of contact for all closing and reporting matters.
• Analyze segment financial results and deliver concise, insight-driven summaries and commentary for senior management.
• Lead and contribute to finance transformation and cross-functional projects, including process improvements, system implementations (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, reporting tools), and reporting enhancements.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting tools to increase transparency, enable data-driven decision-making, and reduce manual effort in the closing cycle.
• Proactively identify and pilot the use of AI tools and automation within reporting and accounting processes.

What You Bring

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with hands-on IFRS expertise and its application in a complex, multinational corporate environment; HGB knowledge preferred.
• Proven experience preparing or coordinating consolidated financial statements and group-level reporting, including the design and execution of consolidation processes and closing controls.
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret and summarize complex financial results clearly and concisely for senior stakeholders; results-oriented and effective under time pressure.
• Practical experience with - or a strong interest in - AI-enabled tools, process automation, and digital reporting solutions; you don’t wait for change, you help build it.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple topics and project streams in parallel, set priorities independently, and deliver in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication skills; able to explain complex accounting and consolidation issues clearly and confidently to stakeholders across multiple countries. Fluent English is required; German is a plus.
• 5–7+ years in group reporting, consolidation, external audit, or a senior accounting role within a large international company or Big Four firm. Strong proficiency with financial and data tools, particularly Power BI and SAP (S/4HANA, BW, SAC is a plus).
