About the Job
Allianz Technology is seeking a solution-oriented Senior Azure Platform Engineer with expertise in Terraform, Networking, DevOps, and infrastructure enablement for Machine Learning (ML) and Generative AI to join our dynamic team. Our Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions enable internal teams to deploy and scale data and AI workloads by providing secure, standardized infrastructure components.
The successful candidate will work across the Azure technology stack, solving infrastructure and integration challenges from inception to deployment on a global scale, ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of our data and AI platforms.
What you do

Design, develop, maintain, and optimize robust, scalable, and secure IT platforms with a strong focus on Azure services for GenAI workloads, including compute, storage, networking, and identity.

Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Terraform to provision and manage infrastructure-as-code for Azure.

Provision and manage GPU-enabled compute resources to support GenAI use cases.

Configure and operate Azure OpenAI and Azure Machine Learning workspaces with a focus on infrastructure setup, access control, cost management, and monitoring.

Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for infrastructure automation, error handling, and operational efficiency.

Develop and maintain programs, including stored procedures, functions, and queries, to support various business needs.

Ensure compliance with internal security policies, including RBAC, managed identities, network isolation, and security hardening of GenAI infrastructure.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design infrastructure architectures tailored to data, analytics, and AI platform requirements.

Monitor and optimize costs and resource usage related to GenAI infrastructure in Azure, including setting up budget controls and alerts.

Stay current with the latest in cloud infrastructure and GenAI-related Azure services, providing recommendations on adoption and integration.

Review infrastructure code and solutions for performance, scalability, and compliance with best practices.
What you bring

Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Terraform, PowerShell, Python, YAML/JSON, Azure networking, security, and identity (Entra), version control (Git), Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Open AI Services

Education: Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Platform Expertise: Experience working with Azure OpenAI, Azure ML, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for infrastructure deployment and configuration.

Security and Governance: Knowledge of RBAC, managed identities, firewall rules, network security groups, and other compliance measures.

Cost Management: Familiarity with Azure cost analysis, budget alerts, and optimization techniques for Generative AI infrastructure.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation capabilities, with a commitment to knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
