Within the Security & Resilience division of Allianz Technology SE, Protection & Resilience (P&R) is a global team that brings together experts to anticipate and prepare our organization to respond to, and recover from, any disruption, emergency or crisis situation whilst at the time, find opportunities to continuously and comprehensively build resilience both internally as well as across the entire Allianz Group.
For this team, we are looking for a Crisis Management Expert with the skills, education, and experience necessary to prepare our global organization for crisis readiness. As part of the Protection & Resilience Central Team, you will collaborate with the global Crisis Manager, Protective Security Manager, Intelligence Fusion Center, and BCM experts to drive projects and initiatives that enhance crisis readiness and mature crisis response across Allianz Technology globally and contribute to building resilience throughout the Allianz Technology Group.
What you do
- Assist in implementation and maintenance of the global crisis management program, ensuring continuous improvement and capability-building to respond to and recover from crises, while managing global governance and performing advisory and quality assessments at headquarters and global entities.
- Support and advise internal and external stakeholders on all tasks, deliverables, and topics relating to crisis management, including tactical and strategic support during crisis events.
- Collaborate with relevant experts to support threat assessments and assist in scenario planning, developing, advising, or supporting crisis response and business continuity plans for general and specific in-scope scenarios.
- Help support the implementation and maintenance of the training program for crisis management, deliver training to stakeholders involved in the crisis management process, and assist in training provision for senior leaders.
- Support the implementation of the exercise program for crisis management, design, coordinate, and facilitate crisis simulation exercises, and publish post-exercise reports, maintaining and improving tools like the Everbridge 360 crisis management tool.
- Manage or support global and local crisis preparedness and organizational resilience projects to enhance readiness, response, and resilience, coordinating learning and remediation action plans following simulation exercises or real crisis situations.
- Maintain contact list of key response stakeholders across the organization and remain updated on industry trends and best practices relating to crisis management, resilience, and associated disciplines.
What you bring
- Minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience in two or more areas: crisis management, emergency management, disaster management, business continuity management, protective security, resilience, risk management, cyber security, project management, or related fields.
- University degree in a relevant discipline such as disaster/emergency management, risk management, international security, business administration, political science, management, strategy, or related fields.
- Experience in running global crisis management programs and coordinating/interacting with stakeholders worldwide, including designing and running crisis management exercises.
- Experience in project management, ideally in an agile environment, with a profound interest in crisis management and resilience-related topics, motivated to expand skills and expertise actively.
- Knowledge of international and national standards applicable to crisis management, business continuity management, and resilience (desirable but not essential).
- Solid analytical and conceptual skills, excellent organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines, and strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence effectively in written and verbal forms.
- Ability to work independently and autonomously under pressure, familiarity with communication and presentation tools (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint), capability to build collaborative working relationships in virtual, international, and complex team environments, with advanced proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles and their practical use.
