Within the Group Reporting & Analytics department, a dedicated team manages several platforms for financial management reporting. As part of our service expansion, we’re building a data warehousing and business intelligence solution for several Allianz companies.
What you do
· Design and maintain Azure Synapse Analytics and SQL-based data models and data warehouse solutions.
· Build and optimize scalable ETL pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics, Spark, and Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2.
· Develop high-quality Python/PySpark code for data transformation, automation, and integration processes.
· Implement CI/CD workflows using Azure Synapse Pipelines and ensure secure data access with Azure Authorizations and Key Vault.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure data accessibility and usability.
· Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines using Azure Log Analytics to maintain data quality and performance.
· Manage integration of third-party systems via APIs to enhance data workflows and reporting capabilities
What you bring
· Strong expertise in Azure data services (Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, Azure Networking) and SQL-based data modeling.
· Proven experience in building ETL pipelines and working with Spark and PySpark.
· Proficiency in Python development, GitHub version control, and CI/CD practices.
· Familiarity with APIs and integration of external systems into data workflows.
· Basic knowledge of Machine Learning Operations (MLOps).
· 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in similar roles, preferably in Azure environments.
· Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
