Solution Architect - Mobile Applications

As a Solution Architect – Mobile Applications at Allianz Technology, you will play a key role in shaping end‑to‑end IT solutions with a strong focus on mobile platforms, supporting Allianz’s digital transformation and long‑term business goals.

You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, define robust architectures, and guide delivery teams from design to implementation. Your role will combine strategic thinking with hands‑on involvement, ensuring that solutions — particularly mobile‑driven ones — are secure, high‑performing, and future‑ready.

You will also contribute to the evolution of our technology landscape, including cloud‑native and AI‑enabled architectures, helping Allianz innovate at scale while maintaining the highest quality standards. 

You will lead a distributed architecture team spanning multiple countries, cultures, and organizations — including third-party technology partners — and act as the architectural authority for the program, driving alignment and decision quality across teams.

What you do

• Design and develop comprehensive IT solutions with a strong focus on mobile application architectures (native or cross‑platform)
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of project objectives
• Create architectural designs and documentation, ensuring scalability, performance, and security
• Lead the integration of mobile applications with backend and cloud services, ensuring seamless interoperability
• Lead and coordinate a distributed, multi-organization architecture team, ensuring effective planning, organization, and prioritization of workload.
• Represent the architecture team in governance forums and build strong influence across stakeholders without formal authority.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance solution capabilities, especially in the mobile space
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in architecture and design
• Participate in the development of IT strategies and roadmaps to support business growth
• Contribute to architectures integrating LLM APIs, RAG pipelines, and AI components where relevant

What you bring 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Mobile Architect, or similar role
• Proven experience in mobile application architecture, either native (iOS/Android) or cross‑platform (e.g. Flutter)
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#
• Strong knowledge of mobile application lifecycle, design patterns, and integration with backend services
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience presenting to and obtaining approval from architecture governance bodies. 
• Strong leadership and influencing skills without formal authorit. 
• Demonstrated experience leading architecture practices across distributed, cross-cultural, and organizational teams.
• Good knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use (as a plus)
