Allianz Technology is the internal IT provider of Allianz. In our eCommerce department, we provide end-to-end solutions for our internal business organization Allianz Partners.

We are looking for a Trainee in Software Engineering in Test to join our Scrum team and support testing and automation practices, focusing on efficiency and technical improvements, and contributing to the development of high-quality and scalable solutions and products.

Our team, based in Barcelona but working closely with our offices in different locations (France, Germany, Austria), offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of our organization and work in a fast-paced, multinational environment with a strong focus on best practices. The position requires proper communication and alignment with all stakeholders, as well as an agile mindset and a passion for continuous improvement environments

 

What you do  

 

  • Support test activities within the Scrum team, including requirements analysis, test definition, execution, test automation, and non-functional testing.
  • Collaborate in the incorporation and evolution of standards for software systems quality, processes, and automation, focusing on efficiency and technical improvement.
  • Assist in ensuring the right test scope and detecting risky points in the incremental developments of the Scrum team.
  • Contribute to the traceability of all testing activities, enabling the team and stakeholders to make informed decisions.
  • Support the automation of regression tests and critical features of the product.
  • Investigate issues, find root causes, log, and track defects, and propose corrective actions.
  • Participate in promoting good code practices within the team

 

What you bring

 

  • University student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar qualification.
  • Fluency in English written and spoken.
  • Basic knowledge of digital software development and familiarity with client-server products.
  • Interest and ability to learn debugging and scripting in at least one programming language, Java desired; knowledge of Typescript is a plus.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks for web, API exposed, or mobile applications like Playwright, Cypress, Selenium.
  • Knowledge of API exploration tools like Postman, SOAPUI, and familiarity with CI/CD tools like Github and Jenkins.
  • Basic understanding of Web Services (REST, SOAP), Databases (SQL, Non-SQL), and interest in cloud computing with familiarity in AWS, Docker, EKS.
