About the Job

The Back End Developer plans, develops, tests, and maintains software solutions for our Commercial Claims applications. This role involves managing technical design and implementation, ensuring high-quality code and functionality. Responsibilities include providing development expertise during concept phases and collaborating with the team to deliver complex IT solutions that support our global commercial operations

What you do

Design, develop, test, and maintain robust, efficient server-side applications and APIs following Microservices architecture for our Commercial Claims solutions.
Translate functional and technical requirements into technical software design, ensuring feasibility and optimal implementation.
Fulfill non-functional requirements of the solution, such as performance, data protection, and IT security.
Collaborate with front end developers and other team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Ensure the future maintainability of the systems within the technical and functional environment.
Utilize DevOps practices and cloud infrastructure, leveraging CI/CD pipelines for application deployment and delivery.
Work in an agile environment and implement any appropriate software engineering techniques, methods, and best practices

What you bring

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience with 5+ years of professional experience in back-end development or similar roles.
Expertise in Java and SpringBoot with strong understanding of modern back end frameworks and their core concepts, along with high proficiency in MongoDB for data management and Kafka for event-based communication.
Experience with several of the following: Microservices architecture, security implementation, and performance optimization techniques.
Skilled in DevOps practices and cloud technologies such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Kubernetes/Docker, and AWS services for CI/CD pipelines and application deployment.

Proficient in configuration, release, deployment, and test management.

Good knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use to enhance back-end development process, functionality and performance.
Certifications in Java, Architecture, Kafka, MongoDB, AWS, or Kubernetes is a plus
