About the Job

The Senior DevOps Engineer collaborates with stakeholders from architecture and application development teams to understand challenges and requirements for our Commercial applications. It involves developing infrastructure solutions that enable high-availability and low-latency service delivery, while ensuring timely implementation. The position provides technical guidance on DevOps practices and helps ensure smooth operational workflows for our Commercial systems.

What you do

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure DevOps solutions for Commercial applications, including the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Establish and maintain infrastructure as code practices for consistent environment management.
  • Collaborate and guide in an agile environment development teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, resolving performance bottlenecks to maintain efficient claims processing.
  • Implement and maintain robust logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to ensure high availability of Commercial applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, services, and applications.
  • Stay current with cloud technologies and security practices, making recommendations for improvements and innovation

 

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience with 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in DevOps tools and technologies such as Git, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform or Crossplane.
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud with emphasis on AWS services (EKS, IAM, Secrets Managers, CloudWatch, CloudTrails, etc.) and infrastructure as code practices.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, ELK, and DataDog and with security best practices including robust security controls to protect sensitive insurance data.
  • Knowledge of several of the following: Akamai, Service NOW, MongoDB, or Kafka.
  • Certifications from AWS, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), or other relevant technologies is a plu
  • Experience in integrating AI algorithms and models to enhance solution capabilities and decision-making.
