Role Overview:
In this role, you will join the Finance team of Allianz Services, the global platform supporting and improving operations for Allianz entities. The position focuses on accounting tasks, including coordinating and performing monthly closing activities, as well as supporting risk assessments, control testing, and mitigation plans.
You will collaborate with key departments, near- and offshore teams, and the central team in Munich. As part of this matrix structure, you will have a solid reporting line to local management and a dotted line to the central manager.
This role offers a dynamic environment with opportunities to contribute ideas to improve processes and controls. Responsibilities include accounting topics such as asset accounting, provisions, capitalization, and closing procedures under both IFRS and Spanish GAAP, along with risk management and internal control system implementation.
As part of a global team, you will work with various Allianz teams, apply best practices, and contribute your expertise while participating in international projects and processes.
What you do:
- Prepares, records, analyzes, and reports accounting transactions, ensuring the integrity, completeness, and compliance of accounting records in line with established policies and frameworks defined by Finance & Tax.
- Performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements (e.g., balance sheets, profit and loss, and CAPEX reports).
- Supports the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in accordance with applicable regulations (Spanish GAAP and IFRS).
- Provides functional support and performs testing for relevant SAP FI modules.
- Maintains and manages key financial data, including accounts and cost classifications.
- Oversees accounts payable and receivable processes, including interaction with suppliers.
What you bring:
- Strong academic background (e.g., in quantitative fields, Economics, or Business Administration).
- Advanced level of English, both written and spoken.
- Prior exposure to the accounting domain through internships, student projects, or part-time work is considered an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in an international and global environment.
- Strong communication and intercultural skills.
