Role Overview:

The Regional Audit Executive is a senior audit leader responsible for driving the execution of the risk-based audit plan within the assigned region. The role provides leadership to regional audit teams, oversees complex and cross-functional audits, and acts as a trusted advisor to senior management. The Regional Audit Executive combines deep audit expertise with strong stakeholder management capabilities, while actively promoting the use of data analytics, automation, and AI-enabled audit techniques to improve audit effectiveness, risk identification, and business insights.

What you do:

Audit Leadership & Delivery

• Support the Chief Audit Executive (CAE) in risk assessments, annual audit planning, strategic initiatives, and reporting to Senior Management and the Audit Committee.
• Ensure timely and high-quality execution of the audit plan in accordance with Internal Audit Standards and defined KPIs.
• Lead and oversee complex, regional, and cross-functional audit engagements, ensuring a risk-based audit approach.
• Challenge audit conclusions, validate root causes, and support audit managers in identifying sustainable solutions.
• Guide audit teams throughout planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up activities.
• Act as a trusted partner to customer audit functions, aligning audit strategies with business objectives, delivering value-added insights, and fostering effective collaboration to strengthen governance, risk management, and internal controls.

Innovation, Data Analytics & AI

• Drive the adoption of data analytics, automation, and AI-enabled audit methodologies across the region.
• Promote the use of data-driven insights to identify emerging risks, control weaknesses, trends, and anomalies.
• Support the development of dashboards, KPI reporting, and advanced analytics capabilities to improve audit coverage and decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI and digital technologies to enhance audit planning, testing, reporting, and quality assurance.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the audit function.

Quality & Functional Excellence

• Contribute to the continuous enhancement of audit methodologies, tools, and quality standards.
• Monitor audit quality and consistency across the region and support best-practice sharing.
• Analyze audit results and key themes to provide actionable insights to management.
• Initiate and lead improvement actions to strengthen audit effectiveness and efficiency.

Leadership & Talent Development

• Lead, coach, and develop regional audit teams.
• Set performance objectives and conduct regular performance and development discussions.
• Support talent development, succession planning, and capability building within Internal Audit.
• Create an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance team environment.

What you bring:

• Experience leading audit teams, complex audit engagements, and senior stakeholder relationships in a multinational environment.
• Experience in a multinational organization, preferably within the service industry.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk management, governance, and internal control frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead complex audits and manage senior stakeholder relationships.
• Good understanding of data analytics, data visualization, and digital audit techniques.
• Familiarity with AI use cases in audit, risk management, controls testing, and operational effectiveness.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in internal or external auditing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, CISA, or equivalent.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
