Role Description
The purpose of this role is to promote legal and regulatory compliance within the business by monitoring business activity, influencing stakeholders and providing advice and guidance on compliance topics, to ensure business objectives are aligned with regulatory requirements and internal corporate rules.
Salary Information
Circa £40k per annum
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
This position can be located in either of our Guildford, London or Bournemouth office. This is a Hybrid role with expectation of being on site at least 1 day per week and must be able to meet in London once a quarter
About You
- Supports the delivery of the annual Compliance Department plan
- Provides technical reporting and process management in accordance with the Financial Conduct Authority, Information Commissioner’s Office and all other applicable financial services regulators
- Provides reporting as required by relevant committees including sub-committees of the Allianz Holdings Board
- Provides advice and subject matter expertise on key compliance topics and corporate rules, assisting the business in development of risk-based solutions
- Capable of discussing compliance topics with senior leaders
- Strong communication skills
- Maintains a network of contacts on relevant subjects within the UK Company, the wider Allianz group and the UK general insurance market.
- Identifies opportunities for efficiencies and improvements, monitors trends
- Plans workload and priorities of indirect line reports when required
- Deputises for the (indirect) line manager as and when required
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in a governance, compliance, risk or legal-related role
- Previous operational/business experience
- Able to communicate complex compliance concepts clearly to non-experts verbally and in writing
- Interpretation and application of Financial Services regulation, legislation and internal corporate rules.
- Understanding of the operations and products of an insurance company.
- Report writing skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Inquisitive mind.
