Allianz has a fantastic opportunity for a Pricing Risk Selection Manager to join our Home Broker Pricing Team. In this role you will lead and implement strategies to ensure the profitability and compliance of AZ Broker within the UK home insurance market.

 

This will be a hybrid role and can be worked from one of our offices in London, Birmingham or Chelmsford.

About You

 

Your role will vary day to day, but here is a bit of what you can expect:

 

  • Work with Portfolio manager and establish a statistically robust actual versus expected claims monitoring process for larger broker portfolios.
  • Lead weekly trading sessions to discuss key pricing and UW recommendations, ensure papers are clear and concise with Pricing & UW options understood by all colleagues to facilitate discussion.
  • Lead initiatives related to digital transformation within underwriting and pricing processes for improved efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work extensively within WTW Radar to predict outcomes of various pricing and underwriting options and be able to confidently provide a recommendation to key stakeholders.
  • Be accountable for the quality of the output from your team, ensuring all recommendations are based on accurate data and insight.

 

Essential Skills

 

We don't expect you to know everything from day one, but the following will enable you to hit the ground running:

 

  • Proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, and cost analysis, with an understanding of statistical models and their application in pricing.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical modelling tools (e.g. SQL, Python, WTW Radar).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and present findings.
  • Experience in driving financial performance and ensuring compliance with regulations, and ability to lead a team effectively.

  • Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage
