Main Purpose of the Job
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth. This role will oversee the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, manage the marketing budget, and ensure alignment with the company’s overall objectives.
The scope is the domestic Irish market as well as other markets that Allianz Global Life is active in, e.g. Italy and Iceland.
For the Irish business the Marketing Manager will be required to build a collaborative and high performing team staring with one direct report. In addition, the role includes vendor management for a variety of marketing agencies.

Key Performance Measures
This role holds responsibility for marketing strategy, execution, and brand consistency across the Irish and Italian markets.
Marketing Strategy & Planning

- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business goals for Ireland and Italy.
- Create annual and quarterly marketing plans, including campaigns, events, and digital initiatives.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning in collaboration with the Product teams.
- Ensure all marketing activity complies with local regulatory requirements, including UK FCA, Central Bank of Ireland, and Italian IVASS guidelines
Campaign Management

- Plan and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, email, and traditional marketing.
- Monitor campaign performance and optimize based on data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure timely and effective campaign delivery.
Brand Management

- Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing materials and channels as established by Allianz Group.
- Strong collaboration with other Allianz entities, e.g. Allianz Ireland, to ensure consistency in approach within joint markets.
- Manage brand guideline process with Group Strategy, Marketing and Distribution.
Digital Marketing

- Develop and execute integrated digital marketing strategies across web, email, social media, paid media and SEO/SEM channels to meet brand and commercial objectives
- Manage the organisation’s digital presence, ensuring content is up‑to‑date, on‑brand and optimised for user experience and engagement
- Leverage AI‑powered marketing tools and platforms
- Designing and executing comprehensive digital and AI strategies to optimise performance across all social and media channels
Vendor and Budget Management

- Selection, coordination and performance monitoring of marketing agencies.
- Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Track expenses and provide regular reporting on ROI and campaign effectiveness.
Team Leadership

- Manage and mentor one direct report, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
Performance Analysis & Reporting

- Analyse marketing performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Use insights to refine strategies and improve future campaigns.

Business Competencies
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or professional marketing certification (e.g., CIM, AMA) is a plus.
Professional Competence
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in marketing, with a proven track record of managing successful campaigns.
- Experience in vendor management of external agencies.
- Experience in leading team members a plus.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, social media, and analytics.

- Confident navigating core financial products, how they are structured, and what differentiates them.
