Background:

Allianz Global Life dac (“AGL”) is a rapidly growing cross-border life insurer with products sold into the French, Italian and German markets, and, more recently Greek and Lithuanian markets. It also reinsures a portfolio of variable annuities sold in Taiwan and Japan. Its goal is to expand into other markets over the coming years, while also continuing to expand its product range. It currently writes unit linked, variable annuity and protection business.

 

Main Purpose of the Job:

The role will support the Head of Protection &Resilience (P&R) with activities in a number of domains including Incident Coordination Crisis Management, Emergency Response Management, Business Continuity Management and Protective Security. Additional duties include supporting External Fraud, Document Management and Identity Access Management. This role will support across a vast range of topics in these areas, ensuring that that the P&R framework is enforced adequately within AGL in line with local regulatory and Group requirements. 

 

Key Performance Measures:

  • Prepare results of self-assessments/reviews for P&R activities and support in implementing action plans;
  • Participate regularly in AGL’s Protection, Resilience and Outsourcing Working Group;
  • Participate regularly in AGL’s Digital Resilience Control Council (DRRC)
  • Support the Business Owners in performing tasks under the P&R Standard and Functional Rules, including ongoing due diligence assessments, risk assessments and self-assessment reviews; ensuring compliance
  • Support in business continuity management (including business impact assessments, determining critical or important functions, ensuring business continuity plans are documented and maintained, ensuring business critical processes are tested on an annual basis and crisis exercise testing) on a periodic basis;
  • Ensure that every person, including management, involved in the BCM is aware of their contribution and understands their own role and responsibility before, during and after disruptions.
  • Support the Head of P&R, as part of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO), to assist in quickly responding to local emergencies, to protect life and health of personnel within AGL Location
  • Support Head of P&R in ensuring the Crisis Unit in identifying AGL threats and verify the list of crisis scenario’s with relevant stakeholders in AGL; leveraging the trend sources and data on threats relevant to AGL’s business operations
  • Support Head of P&R in ensuring that every person involved in Crisis Management and Emergency Response Management (including new members) is competent based on appropriate education, training, and experience;
  • Support Incident Management for Non IT and IT incidents, as well as supporting major ICT related incident coordination;
  • Support Major ICT-related Incident Coordination, ensuring correct criteria and materiality classifications. Participate in AGL’s Hybrid Fusion Centre, once activated
  • Support Identity Access Management (IAM) Business Operations to grant secure user accesses in a timely and efficient manner by implementing and managing a user access model according to the IAM Target Operating Model. Ensure maintenance of business role library and segregation of duties matrices.

Business Competencies:

Education and Qualifications:

  • University degree in economics, business administration, law or similar with excellent grades

Professional Competence:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial services (consulting / insurance industry experience is an advantage)

Product & Technical Knowledge:

  • Sound knowledge of P&R Domains
  • Project management skills

Management:

  • Self-manage multiple priorities, routine work and urgent issues.

Commercial Awareness:

  • To manage relationships with internal/external service providers and to monitor performance against SLAs
  • Clear understanding of key business processes and strategic goals
