Position Reports To: Head of Product Management & Development

Department: Sales, Market Management, Product and Investment

Location: AGL Head Office, Maple House, Temple Road, Blackrock, Co. Dublin.

 

Main Purpose Of Job

To support the Product team in various tasks related to product development, launch, and lifecycle management

 

Key Performance Measures

Supporting the Product Development and Management team:

  • in all stages of new product development, from initial concept to market launch including product governance.
  • by completing market research to understand market trends, competitor analysis, and customer needs.
  • with the on-going day-to-day management of the products throughout their lifecycle including product monitoring; regulatory reporting; regular monthly processes and ad-hoc queries.
  • with the development of compliant product-related documentation for customers by ensuring the relevant approvals are obtained.
  • in identifying and putting in place mitigating actions to address any potential customer protection risks throughout the product lifecycle.

Internal: Pricing, Sales, Market Management, Actuarial, Risk, Compliance and Operations.

External: TPA providers, Legal advisors

 

Business Competencies

Education  & qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent.

Professional Competence

  • Ideally APA or QFA qualified or willingness to pursue qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Life Insurance Industry.

Product and Technical knowledge

  • Product Lifecycle management and monitoring
  • Knowledge of CPC and Consumer Protection Risk Framework and other financial services/pension/life assurance regulations in Irish Market.
  • Understanding of product specifications and Business Requirements Documents.
  • The ability to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Ability to ensure the customer journey throughout the lifecycle meets customers’ needs
