Role Description

 

Are you a creative storyteller obsessed with good content and reaching your audiences in new ways? Do you have meticulous attention to detail and an ability to join the dots? Do you know your Gen AI from your GPT? We’re looking for a Senior Communications Manager to join our creative team at the world’s largest insurer, supporting communications for our Personal and Specialty (pet) insurance teams

 

As two of our key trading areas, these are hugely important teams for our business, and they present a great opportunity to tell the stories of how we help our customers every day. Technical or insurance knowledge isn’t necessary; we’re looking for an expert generalist who can translate complex ideas and make them suitable for a variety of audiences

 

This role is focussed on internal communications, but we welcome applications from people with experience in external communications and marketing too

 

This is a hybrid role with an expectation to come to the office regularly. It can be based out of our London, Guildford, Bournemouth or Bristol offices

Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package

 

About You

 

  • You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, creative communications campaigns, working closely with your Communications Business Partner, External Communications, and key stakeholders within the Specialty and Personal function.
  • As part of a Group spanning 70+ countries, you’ll be part of a global conversation, leveraging the benefits and career progression opportunities that come with this.
  • You’ll transform key messages into compelling content and use data and performance frameworks to monitor how they land with the audience, making improvements accordingly.
  • You’ll use communications to build trust and engagement within our internal population, give our leaders a voice that resonates with their teams, and showcase the stories that translate the Allianz purpose: “we secure your future”

 

Essential Skills

 

  • As this role involves working across two complex and distinctive areas, we’re looking for someone with great organisation skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Audience-led planning, especially for digital internal communications
  • Experience using digital platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Viva Engage)
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to translate complex ideas
  • Proactive approach and accountability for creative content creation
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills

Desirable Skills

 

  • Multimedia skills (video creation/editing) are desirable but not essential
  • Experience using Generative AI tools such as onsite Webchat / Chat Bot systems and journey is desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience in an internal communications role is desirable but not essential
