Role Overview
Reporting to the Sales Leadership team, the Key Account Manager manages ongoing business needs of partner including but not limited to: monthly reporting, program implementation(s), troubleshooting, issue resolution, technical matters and client communication. Serves as “partner expert” (SME) and advocate internally. Maintains a holistic view of the partner and their business.
Accountable for supporting partner initiatives to optimize revenue and improve processes. Supports and collaborates with other Sales members to support account management, as well as manages and owns the relationship with select partners. Orchestrates the sales process in renewal and upsell opportunities. Liaise between clients and internal support functions to ensure we are always providing the best client and customer service. Facilitates program enhancements and expansion. Acts as the point of contact for our existing clients and partners while driving retention and profitable growth within the account.
Type of contract: First year temporary with possibility to prolong. Probation period is 3 months.
Salary range: 40 000 EUR - 50 000 EUR yearly gross with bonus included.
Main Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Builds and maintains strong, long-term relationships with partners. Acts as liaison between partner and internal stakeholder team ensuring their needs are met and concerns are addressed promptly. Manages partner relationships at all levels to serve as contact and advocate. Participates in and supports preparation of partner meetings, business reviews, and roadmap discussions. Champions deliverables with partners through completion.
- Customer Support and Communication: Provides ongoing support to partners, answering questions, and resolving any issues that arise. Manages and coordinates resolution of technology issues that impact the customer experience. Communicates regularly with clients to update them on new products, services, revenue optimization plans/results, and company developments. Conducts onsite partner training.
- Account Planning and Monitoring: Identifies opportunities for profitable growth within existing accounts and provides insights to realize targets.
- Sales and Revenue Support: Identifies opportunities for growth and cross-selling additional products or services to existing partners. Supports Sales teams to achieve revenue and profitability targets for associated managed accounts. Collaborates with colleagues to complete implementations.
- Project Management: Leads and coordinates cross-functional projects related to partner initiatives, product implementation, and process improvements, ensuring timely delivery and alignment across stakeholders.
- CRM and Data Management: Ensures accurate and consistent data maintenance in Salesforce (or other CRM systems), including pipeline tracking, activity management, and reporting to support decision-making and commercial performance.
- Presentations and Representation: Prepares and delivers presentations to partners, including business reviews and strategic discussions, and represents the company in key client interactions and relevant industry settings.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Provides client invoicing and reporting. Ensures contractual obligations are met. Monitors contractual service levels for assigned partners to ensure compliance and maintains partner renewal schedules.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Performs research and analysis, in conjunction with Sales staff, including partner data, historical information and trend analysis. Provides feedback from partners to inform product development and service improvements.
- Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution: Addresses and resolves any conflicts or issues that arise with partners in a timely and effective manner.
- Participate in regional and global segment communities to exchange best practices, share partner insights, and contribute to the development of market-relevant solutions and growth opportunities.
Profile and Experience
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience. The successful candidate must be customer focused and technically savvy with an ability to identify issues, think critically, and develop effective solutions while working in a fast-paced, matrixed team environment where collaboration is important. S/he would be experienced in managing relationships with partners to grow and retain accounts.
Key Skills and Capabilities
The Key Account Manager will have the following minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of account management experience.
- Proficiency in managing relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction, retention, and loyalty. This skill includes providing support, addressing concerns or issues promptly, delivering value-added services, and proactively identifying opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products or services based on clients' evolving needs.
- The ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients and internal teams is essential.
- A strong focus on understanding and meeting client needs, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management databases and their basic functionalities which includes understanding how to use CRM systems to store and manage customer data, track interactions and transactions, and generate insights to support sales strategies and decision-making processes.
- The ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions to client challenges.
- The capacity to implement account strategies that align with client goals and drive business growth.
- The ability to manage multiple accounts and tasks simultaneously, ensuring that all client needs are addressed promptly and efficiently.

- English and Slovak fluent.
- Availability to travel extensively across the assigned territory.
- Valid driving license (Category B) required.
Additional Skills:
- Proven commercial experience in the Tourism and Travel sector, preferably related to the sale of services and/or insurance products.
