About the Job

The Data Privacy Officer provides advice on compliance with existing data privacy processes or policies as well as developing any procedures for the local data privacy programs. Performs assessments of data privacy impact and security risks within the organization; Implements and tracks execution of risk-based analysis, privacy controls and measures, including regular monitoring of the controls in in the organization.

 

What you do

  • Take responsibility for compliance topics with existing policies, processes but also for the development of other procedures for the confidentiality of our programs and provide data privacy advice and review relevant Supplier/ Customer Contract.
  • Handle enquiries from data subjects on issues relating to data privacy practices, particularly on the exercise of data subjects’ rights such as withdrawal of consent, the right to be forgotten, and other related rights. Consult on personal data incidents, including advising on data breach notifications, resolutions, and remedial actions.
  • Prepare the roll out of Allianz Data Privacy Trainings at the local entity, track the completion rate and support for issues relating training to ensure an adequate level of privacy knowledge and awareness.
  • Develop, prepare and roll out Data Privacy awareness campaigns for the local entity to ensure an adequate level of privacy knowledge and awareness.
  • Initiate and perform Privacy assessments (Data Register & Privacy Impact Assessments). Implement the requirements “Allianz Technology Data Privacy Control Framework“ at local level.
  • Be responsible for all the deficiencies resulting from the development of its activity, as a result of its own decisions. Other tasks related to the above stated tasks according to the instructions of the line or functional manager.
  • Participate in reporting to company management and represent the local entity in the relationship with local Data Privacy Supervisory Authority.

 

What you bring

  • Proven experience in data privacy and compliance, with solid knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and their practical application in a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of privacy impact assessments and risk management, including the ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate data privacy risks across organizational processes.
  • Experience in developing and implementing data privacy policies, procedures, and control frameworks, ideally within a multinational or insurance/financial services context.
  • Excellent advisory and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide clear, actionable data privacy guidance to business teams, management, and external authorities.
  • Strong communication and training skills, with experience designing and delivering privacy awareness campaigns and training programs to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to manage data subject requests and personal data incidents end-to-end, including breach notifications, remediation actions, and regulatory reporting.
  • Relevant professional qualification or certification in data privacy (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent), combined with a degree in Law, IT, Business, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies and GenAI platforms is a strong advantage.
