Summary:
The Search Engine Optimization/Generative Engine Optimization Specialist is responsible for the development and execution of traditional SEO and GEO strategies for search engines and AI platforms to increase organic and AI visibility and rankings, site traffic and revenue. This role will manage the organic search presence and performance in New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, MEA and Australia – working closely with B2C regional teams, agencies, stakeholders and reporting directly to APAC Digital Marketing Manager.
Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage SEO/GEO strategy across multiple B2C websites to improve SERPs, increase volume of high-quality organic traffic from search engines and AI to improve organic conversion rates.
- Continuously monitor search trends and competitor activity to identify organic search opportunities, leveraging AI.
- Conduct technical site audits for indexation, crawlability, and performance issues.
- Implement and optimize schema markup and structured data to improve machine understanding.
- Ensure crawlability, renderability, canonicalization, and site structure are optimal.
- Perform keyword and question research, moving beyond traditional keywords to understand user tasks and intents.
- Conduct routine content audits and implement best practices of organic optimization to help build ranking, online presence and traffic.
- Analyze performance data using tools like Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, and other SEO platforms (i.e. SEMrush).
- Develop and execute link-building strategies to enhance domain authority. Create and review off-site content for backlink opportunities.
- Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
- Collaborate across functions with multicultural team to inform content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet business objectives.
- Remain current on SEO/GEO best practices and latest trends.
Requirements:

- 5+ year(s) of SEO experience, including technical audits, keyword research, and content optimization.
- Extensive knowledge in Technical SEO, core web vitals and leveraging AI in search.
- Efficient in Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) concepts and tactics for AI search.
- Proficiency with SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush.
- Practical understanding of SEO measurement frameworks and extensive experience with analytics platforms.
- Functional knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Deep knowledge of on page and off page SEO best practices and strategies across APAC markets.
- Experience with content management systems and implications for SEO.
- Experience working in regulatory environment/industry, preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously and relate technical details into business outcomes.
