We’re now looking for a HR Advisor, People & Culture to join our Brisbane team — a role that blends employee relations, culture initiatives, governance, and continuous improvement in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
The opportunity
Reporting to the HR Country Lead (Australia & New Zealand), this role is a key partner to leaders and employees, delivering high-quality HR advisory support across the full employee lifecycle.
You’ll play a central role in:
- Strengthening employee experience and engagement
- Providing expert employee relations advice
- Owning policy governance and compliance
- Driving smarter, more efficient people processes

Key responsibilities
Employee Experience & Engagement
- Deliver key initiatives that enhance employee engagement and culture
- Lead the annual Allianz Engagement Survey (planning, delivery, reporting, and action planning)
- Partner with leaders to translate insights into meaningful outcomes
- Manage the local People Awards program end-to-end
- Support gender equality initiatives and reporting (e.g. WGEA)
- Coordinate the Employee Share Plan for ANZ
Employee Relations
- Provide practical, risk-aware advice to leaders on ER matters
- Manage casework including grievances, disciplinary matters, and disputes
- Interpret and apply modern awards, the Fair Work Act, and Enterprise Agreements
- Support complex cases in partnership with senior HR leaders
- Ensure high-quality, compliant documentation
Policy Governance & Compliance
- Own and maintain People & Culture policies across ANZ
- Lead policy reviews to ensure alignment with legislation and global frameworks
- Manage WorkCover claims and injury management processes end-to-end
- Partner with global teams to ensure consistency and governance standards
Workplace Health & Safety
- Support WHS processes, reporting, and compliance activities
- Coordinate WHS committee activities (including chairing meetings)
- Assist with return-to-work and injury management programs
- Maintain accurate safety records and follow-up actions
Continuous Improvement & HR Operations
- Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance HR processes
- Implement improvements that elevate employee and leader experience
- Contribute to HR reporting, audits, and data submissions
- Support a more efficient, insight-driven People & Culture function
About you
You’re a proactive and confident HR professional who enjoys balancing people, process, and compliance — with a mindset geared toward continuous improvement.
You bring:
- A tertiary qualification in HR or a related field
- Experience in an HR Advisor or generalist role
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and ER practices
- Confidence managing employee relations matters end-to-end
- Experience working with HR policies and governance frameworks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- High attention to detail and sound judgement
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to work autonomously
