We are now seeking a Local Medical Provider Manager – Australia to play a pivotal role in building, managing and optimising our Australian medical provider network.
The Role
Reporting to the Area Manager, Medical Networks – Australia, this role is responsible for the development, management and continuous improvement of Allianz Partners’ medical provider network in Australia.
You will work closely with medical providers, internal stakeholders and global MPM teams to ensure strong provider partnerships, high‑quality patient care, and cost‑effective outcomes—while contributing to digital transformation and AI‑enabled initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Network Development & Optimisation
- Build, maintain and strengthen a robust medical provider network across Australia
- Contribute to strategic initiatives to improve access to care, service quality and cost efficiency
- Conduct benefit, cost and performance analysis, including business case development
- Monitor provider performance across delivery, quality, efficiency and cost containment
- Support local and global transformation programs, including AI‑enabled initiatives
Provider Negotiation, Contracting & Onboarding
- Review and assess provider enquiries for network inclusion
- Negotiate commercial terms with providers
- Review and, where required, prepare provider contracts
- Ensure vendor integrity screening and pre‑contractual checks are completed
- Oversee provider setup across Allianz Partners systems and onboarding processes
- Support provider configuration for OSHC and OVHC claims payments
Provider Relationship Management
- Manage key partner and group provider relationships
- Resolve issues proactively and minimise escalations
- Act as a trusted contact for provider enquiries
- Maintain accurate provider data across internal systems and reporting tools
- Collaborate across Health and Travel business units locally and globally
Governance, Process & Compliance
- Ensure alignment with the global MPM target operating model
- Maintain and update local MPM policies, procedures and work instructions
- Support compliance with Australian regulatory and legislative requirements
- Participate in annual vendor integrity screening activities
- Partner with Operations, Finance, Sales, Product, Underwriting and Innovation teams
Data, Reporting & Insights
- Develop and enhance provider performance and network reporting
- Analyse dashboards to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities
- Ensure provider records and network data are accurate and current
AI Readiness & Digital Transformation

- Actively participate in AI‑driven and digital transformation initiatives within Medical Provider Management
- Use data, dashboards and emerging AI tools to support provider performance reviews and decision‑making

- Collaborate with global teams to integrate AI‑enabled processes into local network management
- Bring a continuous improvement mindset to evolving ways of working
About You
Experience
- Proven experience in provider management or account management
- Exposure to healthcare, medical providers, insurance or financial services strongly preferred
- Experience working with contracts, negotiations and operational processes

- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement capability
- Commercially minded with a focus on quality, cost efficiency and outcomes
- Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in a small, collaborative team
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
- Process‑driven with experience improving or adhering to operational frameworks
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills essential
- Comfortable working with data, reports and digital platforms
