About the role
- This newly created position offers an exciting opportunity to shape and implement a cohesive communication strategy, with a strong focus on change management, to support and guide through a transformative period.
- Lead integrated planning across the Direct function, ensuring alignment between strategy, priorities, initiatives and operational execution.
- Manage internal communication and engagements across the Direct function, including key leadership messaging, updates and business communications.
- Design and manage the Direct business operating rhythm, including monthly performance forums and governance cadences ensuring clear agendas, decision tracking and accountability for actions.
- Design and coordinate Direct Leadership Team planning sessions, strategic alignment workshops and priority-setting processes.
- Maintain visibility of key initiatives, commitments and dependencies across the function to support coordinated delivery of the Direct strategy.
- Support leadership decision making through structured planning processes, documentation and follow-through of agreed outcomes.
- Monitor and improve the effectiveness of planning, governance and engagement practices to strengthen divisional clarity and execution discipline.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in business, strategy, project managemenr, change, communications or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years’ experience in business planning, governance, operational management or strategic coordination roles within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment (insurance or financial services preferred).
- Demonstrated experience designing and managing business operating rhythms, planning cycles and governance forums that connect strategy to execution
- Strong capability in coordinating cross-functional priorities and aligning senior stakeholders toward shared objectives.
- Proven experience supporting executive leaderships teams with structured planning processes, decision documentation and follow-through of agreed actions.
- Advanced stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, align and drive accountability across diverse teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear leadership messaging and business-wide communications.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation capability, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and maintain visibility of competing commitments.
- A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
