Senior Claims Consultant– Customer and Operations - Brisbane

About the role

  • Handle a portfolio of claims from start to finish, keeping clear communication with customers and ensuring accurate processing within your authority.
  • Follow AAL’s Claims Management Process and stay updated on relevant legislation to make fair, consistent, and compliant decisions throughout each claim.
  • Review and authorise payments for team members within delegated authority, ensuring compliance with AAL standards to minimise leakage and control claim costs.
  • Help develop team skills by coaching colleagues and maintaining strong, positive relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Comply with the General Insurance Code of Practice by following processes and tailoring your communication to meet customer needs effectively.

 

About you

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in claims management with a strong understanding of technical claims concepts and processes.
  • Experienced in handling large loss property claims across multiple insurance products in collaborative teams.
  • Strong at organising and prioritising work, spotting details, interpreting complex information, and communicating clearly with empathy and professionalism.
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a fast -changing digital world.
  • Previous Catastrophe claims experience highly regarded.
