Allianz Partners is seeking a BMW Technical Support Specialist to be the trusted technical expert supporting our roadside assistance operations. In this role, you'll leverage your diagnostic expertise, collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups, and help drive exceptional outcomes for BMW customers across Australia.

About the Role

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will provide technical guidance and escalation support to Customer Service Agents, roadside Technicians, and Towing Operators assisting BMW customers during vehicle mobility incidents.

Working at the intersection of automotive technology, customer experience, and operational excellence, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate fault diagnosis, improving roadside mobilisation outcomes, and supporting continuous capability development across the network.

What You'll Be Doing

Technical Expertise & Support

  • Provide real-time and retrospective technical support to roadside technicians and towing operators.
  • Assist with vehicle diagnostics, parts identification, roadside repair procedures, and vehicle mobilisation strategies.
  • Support Customer Service Agents with technical escalations and complex customer scenarios.
  • Utilise BMW Connected Car platforms, telematics systems, and diagnostic tools to support effective decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to improve first-contact resolution and roadside outcomes through data-driven insights.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Build strong working relationships with BMW technical teams and key automotive network partners.
  • Collaborate with Customer Care, Emergency Assistance, Learning, and Operations teams to enhance technical capability.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor, helping stakeholders navigate evolving vehicle technologies and service requirements.

Capability Building & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure technical knowledge resources and training materials remain current and relevant.
  • Contribute to learning initiatives that strengthen technical capability across the business.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and operational agility.
  • Leverage customer feedback, quality data, and performance metrics to identify enhancement opportunities.

Quality, Compliance & Customer Experience

  • Ensure adherence to quality, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Support the development of robust technical processes and quality frameworks.
  • Help drive positive customer outcomes through accurate diagnosis, effective communication, and proactive problem-solving.

What You'll Bring

Essential

  • Strong automotive technical knowledge and diagnostic capability.
  • Experience supporting vehicle repairs, fault finding, or technical troubleshooting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Outstanding organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Highly Regarded

  • BMW dealership, workshop, or OEM experience.
  • Master Technician, Diagnostic Technician, or Technical Trainer background.
  • Experience using telematics, connected vehicle technology, or digital diagnostic platforms.
  • Qualifications in an automotive, engineering, or related technical discipline.
