Role Description
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Property and Casualty Mobile Underwriter has arisen to join the successful Bristol branch on a hybrid basis.
You will play an active role in developing the branch account in terms of growth and profitability through negotiating and securing profitable business in Somerset, Devon & Cornwall.
You will be responsible for underwriting cases including analysis and compilation of data for referral, forming and developing broker and branch relationships to drive growth and have the ability to build rapport with and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
You'll participate in the Global P&C Academy accreditation, enhancing your skills in underwriting, risk engineering, pricing, and claims management while exchanging best practices across the Allianz Group. Furthermore, for pricing-based roles, Allianz Insurance offers a generous study package to enable the actuarial qualification to be obtained through the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK.

Salary Information
Pay: Circa £60,000 per year + Company Car
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
As a Senior Property & Casualty Underwriter, your responsibilities will include:
- Being focused on winning and retaining business of a large and complex nature
- To build and develop successful Broker relationships
- To be visible in the local market, you will thrive on face-to-face contact with brokers and end customers
- Provide excellent service and develop business relationships with key clients
- To achieve agreed financial and operational performance targets
Essential Skills
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Property and Casualty commercial underwriting experience
- The ability to build, develop and maintain positive broker relationships.
- A good team player, supportive to others with an enthusiastic and positive attitude
- An awareness of how digital and branch underwriting will work together as part of a wider team.
- Good influencing and negotiation skills.
- Strong capability for team working.

- Studying towards or prepared to study for ACII
