Role Summary
Allianz Benelux is further expanding and enhancing its automation capabilities within the CIO organization. As part of this evolution, we are continuously developing our automation services portfolio, including RPA (currently UiPath), conversational automation (Cognigy), workflow automation, integrations, and workplace automation.
We are looking for two Delivery Leads – Automation to ensure the successful execution of initiatives within this program, led by the Lead Innovation & Automation Services.
You will be responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of automation initiatives, working closely with external delivery partners and internal stakeholders. You will play a key role in ensuring that delivery teams perform at their highest level, continuously adapting your approach to meet delivery objectives.
This role requires a hands-on, pragmatic mindset. You are someone who gets things done whether acting as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, or coordinator, depending on what is needed to ensure delivery success. You thrive in dynamic environments, take ownership, and drive results.
You will operate as a trusted partner to the Lead Innovation & Automation Services, forming a strong collaboration focused on achieving program success.
Responsibilities
- Drive the delivery of automation initiatives across the Innovation & Automation portfolio.
- Act flexibly in multiple roles (e.g. Product Owner, Scrum Master, delivery coordinator) to ensure successful execution.
- Manage and steer external delivery teams (nearshore/offshore partners) delivering automation solutions.
- Build and maintain high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, ownership, and strong team spirit.
- Ensure teams are working efficiently and productively, proactively removing blockers.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and ensure effective participation in planning, refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Align delivery with business priorities and ensure value-driven outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Innovation & Automation Services, IT, architecture, and business stakeholders.
- Monitor delivery performance, identify risks, and take corrective actions.
- Continuously improve delivery models, team effectiveness, and ways of working.
Your Profile
- 5+ years of experience in delivery management, Agile roles, or consultancy, ideally in automation or IT delivery environments.
- Proven experience working with external or vendor-based development teams.
- Strong experience in Agile environments, with the ability to take on multiple roles.
- A hands-on, pragmatic mindset with a strong focus on execution and results.
- Ability to adapt quickly and step into different roles when needed.
- Strong leadership skills with focus on team performance and collaboration.
- Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Fluent in at least two of the following languages: English, Dutch, and French.
- Ability to work across Rotterdam and Brussels environments.
