As an Intermediate Pricing Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in transforming complex datasets into competitive pricing strategies. You will have a direct impact on our Property & Casualty (P&C) portfolio—covering both Motor and Non-Motor lines—within the dynamic Benelux market.

This role is essential to our technical pricing and portfolio management functions. You will utilise advanced statistical and predictive modelling techniques to support tariff development and conduct rigorous profitability analyses to ensure rate adequacy. With a deep understanding of available data, you will work autonomously to extract insights that sharpen our market position and drive financial resilience.

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Modelling & Development: Design and optimise technical tariffs for P&C products using advanced actuarial software and predictive modelling.
  • Portfolio Management: Conduct regular profitability reviews and monitor rate adequacy to ensure alignment with commercial and financial objectives.
  • Data Orchestration: Autonomously extract, cleanse, and analyse large-scale datasets from diverse sources to identify emerging risk trends and opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Underwriting, Product Management, and IT teams to translate technical findings into actionable business solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the evolution of pricing tools and methodologies by integrating new technologies and best practices.

 

Your Profile

 

  • Education: You hold a Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, or Data Science.
  • Professional Experience: Proven experience in a pricing or actuarial role within the insurance sector. Specific experience in P&C lines is highly regarded.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of statistical programming languages such as R, Python, or SAS. Familiarity with pricing software (e.g., Emblem or Radar) is a distinct advantage.
  • Analytical Mindset: You possess the ability to translate complex data into clear, strategic insights for diverse stakeholders.
  • Communication: You are fluent in English. Proficiency in Dutch or French is a significant asset for collaborating effectively within the Benelux region.
  • Attributes: You are a proactive problem-solver with high attention to detail and a commitment to collaborative excellence.
