About the Role

As a Senior Data Analyst at Allianz Benelux, you are responsible for delivering high-impact analyses and actionable insights to support strategic and operational decision-making. You combine strong analytical capabilities with deep business understanding, particularly in insurance and financial services. You address complex business questions and translate data into clear recommendations and measurable business value.

Beyond individual delivery, you provide functional leadership to the Data Analyst community across the organization. Acting as a reference point for the discipline, you define and promote analytics standards and best practices, provide guidance and coaching to peers, facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration, and help develop consistent analytics capabilities across teams — without direct managerial responsibility.

What We Offer

  • A versatile and challenging role in an informal organization
  • Strategic impact: Deliver analyses that directly contribute to business decisions at the highest level
  • Functional leadership: Shape the vision, maturity and evolution of the Data Analyst function across Allianz Benelux
  • Innovative environment: Work with advanced data tools and technologies in an organisation that embraces AI and Data Analytics
  • An attractive and competitive salary package
  • 25 holiday days with the option of 13 additional reduction-of-working-hours days for a full-time contract
  • A solid pension scheme
  • Collective health insurance
  • Discounts on various insurance products

Your Responsibilities

  • Data to insights: Translate complex, fragmented and sometimes ambiguous data into clear, robust and actionable insights on strategic and operational business questions, requiring a strong understanding of insurance economics and business processes
  • Reliable analysis: Perform reliable analysis across multiple data sources, systems and business domains while identifying and managing data quality, consistency and interpretation issues
  • Standards & methodology: Develop and promote common analytical standards, methodologies and ways of working across Data Analysts operating in different teams and business areas — without relying on hierarchical authority
  • Point of reference: Act as a recognised point of reference for Data Analysts across the organisation; provide guidance, coaching and expertise while connecting a community operating across different organisational units and maturity levels
  • Complex analytical work: Combine direct ownership of complex and high-value analytical work with broader responsibilities for supporting peers and improving capabilities across the organisation
  • Stakeholder management: Build sufficient credibility with business stakeholders to not only respond to analytical requests, but also challenge assumptions, frame the right business questions and ensure insights are effectively translated into decisions and actions

Your Profile

  • Advanced analytics experience: Proven experience as a senior Data Analyst or equivalent role, with a strong track record of independently leading complex analytical assignments from business problem definition through analysis to actionable recommendations
  • Insurance / financial services experience: Significant experience applying analytics within insurance or financial services, with demonstrated understanding of business processes, performance drivers and data across areas such as underwriting, claims, pricing, distribution, customer or profitability
  • Complex data environments: Extensive hands-on experience working with large, complex and heterogeneous datasets, using SQL, analytical programming and BI/visualisation tools to deliver reliable, reproducible and decision-oriented analyses
  • Business partnership: Proven experience partnering directly with business stakeholders and senior management, challenging and structuring business questions, presenting analytical findings and influencing decisions through data-driven insights
  • Functional leadership: Demonstrated experience acting as a senior reference for other analysts through peer coaching, methodological guidance, quality review, knowledge sharing or communities of practice — ideally across teams without direct hierarchical authority
